NWS: EF-1 tornado touched down in NM

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has confirmed that it was an EF-1 tornado that touched down in the Village of Encinoso on Sunday.

That type of twister brings wind speeds between 86 and 110 miles an hour.

The good news is no one was hurt in the small community just north of Capitan, but two homes were destroyed and several more were seriously damaged.
