Volunteer shaves head to fight childhood cancer

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A local MMA fighter is helping those fighting cancer by shaving his all his hair off.

“I’ve been growing my hair out for 18 months, I’ve been growing it out for this day and i’m going to cut it all off,” MMA Fighter Damacio Page said.

World renowned MMA Fighter Damacio Page along with 50 other volunteers shaved it all off at a St. Baldrick’s event in Albuquerque Friday.

The event helps raise money for childhood cancer research.

It’s part of fight night, prepping for the first ever UFC event here in Albuquerque which takes place Saturday.
