Mayor signs new $493M city budget

Albuquerque has a new city budget that includes pay raises for city employees and police.

Mayor RJ Berry signed it Friday.

The $493 million budget will give officers up to a five percent bump in pay. While other city workers will get a three percent raise.

Two million dollars will also go towards the federal reforms outlined by the Department of Justice spurred by APD shootings.

That includes mental health training and crisis intervention.
