COLFAX COUNTY, N.M (KRQE) – Severe weather warnings were issued for several northeastern New Mexico areas by the National Weather Service Friday.
A tornado warning was issued for Quay County and west central Union county according to the National Weather Service. The warning was in place until 5:45 p.m. Friday
The NWS also issued a tornado for Mora and Harding Counties after a funnel cloud was spotted one mile east Farley which is in Harding County.
Roosevelt County experienced some severe weather after a Tornado warning was issued until 7:15 Friday evening.
The NWS issued a warning for Curry County until 6:15 p.m. after a funnel cloud was spotted north of Cannon Air Force Base. Curry county tornado warning will expire at 5:45 p.m.
Union County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were on patrol and there have been no reports of damage or injuries due to the storm.
As the storms subsided a tornado watch was in effect until 9:00 p.m. Friday.
