Police seek women stealing from hospital patients

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Police need your help finding two women they say are preying on the elderly and helpless hospital patients.

Police say a woman walked into Lovelace Woman’s Hospital in April claiming to be a nurse.

They say she cased the hospital then entered a patient’s room .

When the patient said she did not need anything, officers say the woman stole $235 in cash and a debit card from the patient’s purse.

Police believe the suspect in this case and another woman, claiming to be a care giver from ABQ Health Partners may be connected to four other cases.

In once incident they had a little girl with them.

Officers say the suspects may be driving a gray minivan which was captured on surveillance video.
