Open Space officers rescue lost hikers

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Open Space officers are hiking to rescue two hikers who wandered off the trail and ran out of water.

The two were hiking La Luz Trail Thursday when the got off course.

Officers have been able to speak with the women who say they are doing fine but were just lost.

APD said the two suffered minor dehydration but have safely been escorted down.
