That high pressure system we’ve been talking about all week long is finally moving out for the weekend. This will allow for some moisture to return to New Mexico giving us a shot for scattered storms. The best shot for storms will be in Eastern New Mexico on Saturday and Sunday. A few of these storms could be strong to severe with the potential to produce strong winds and hail. That is something we will continue to watch very closely as we get closer to the weekend. In the meantime, the heat will continue for at least a few more days before more seasonable highs return on Sunday.
