The Hidden Cash Game social media craze is hitting New Mexico. People use Twitter to follow clues from an anonymous donor to find money hidden in public places. The anonymous person who started The Hidden Cash Game here says it’s all about creating good karma.

Voters at some polling locations yesterday met up with a group called Reduce Marijuana Penalties ABQ campaign, the group is trying to gather more than 11,000 signatures to get the measure on the ballot in November. The idea is to make the maximum punishment for possessing pot a fine, rather than jail time.

A Carlsbad man is out in his yard when a couple of kids come by and ask him for a drink from the garden hose. While he’s leaning over, the two throw gasoline on him and ignite it with a cigarette. No word on why he was targeted.

We now know who will take on incumbent Gov. Susana Martinez in the November general election. The third time proved to be charm for Gary King. He walked away with the Democratic nomination Tuesday night over his four challengers. King is the son of three-time governor, Bruce King.
