The high pressure system we have been talking about all week long continues to control our weather. This system has been the reason for those extremely hot temps you have been feeling every time you step out the door this week. Carlsbad was the hottest location on Wednesday! They hit 109° breaking their old record of 103° set back in 2008. Albuquerque came very close to breaking the record of 96° but only managed to tie it.
