Applebees manager arrested in voyeurism case

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – The manager of a Roswell Applebee’s accused of recording a customer in the bathroom has been arrested.

Ramon Chavez, 26, is charged with voyeurism.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, says he was using the restaurant’s bathroom last month, when he saw someone hold a phone above his stall and push record.

Chavez admitted to filming damages of the stall not the man.

He says he used his phone to look into the stall because he didn’t want to step on the toilet.

An Applebee’s spokesperson says Chavez has been suspended without pay.

He would not say if he would be fired.
