Adoption fees reduced for some shelter animals

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There’s a move to try to find homes for animals who’ve been at the Albuquerque animal shelters more than 30 days.

The shelters have reduced adoption fees to $35 for dogs 1 year or older that has been there 30 days or more. The fee for cats has been reduced to $10.

The fees include microchipping, spaying or neutering, and A license.

There are about 230 pets at the shelter who qualify.
