“Hidden Cash” now in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The latest social media craze has hit New Mexico.

It’s called Hidden Cash, an event where people use Twitter to follow clues from an anonymous donor to find money hidden in public spaces.

A mystery man started the original Hidden Cash just a week ago in the Bay area.

The idea grew quickly.

Tuesday, someone else started the first Hidden Cash New Mexico.

The anonymous person behind @HiddenCashNM says it’s all about “good karma.”

“Hopefully, the end result is increased positivity, to increase the way our community interacts with each other,” said the donor for @HiddenCashNM.

The Hidden Cash games in other cities encourage people to take a selfie with their winnings and to pay it forward by doing a good deed for someone else.
