Beams go up for Paseo, Jefferson bridge project

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A new part of the Paseo Del Norte and Jefferson Bridge Project is up.

Crews added giant bridge beams.

This follows last week’s addition of the flyover, the project’s biggest chunk of construction.

Now eight months in, this is a sign of major progress.

Department of Transportation officials say it is about 40 percent complete.

Later in the year, crews will work on the seamless ramp from eastbound paseo to southbound I-25.

That’s something morning commuters have been waiting for.
