Chris’ Sunday Evening Forecast

High pressure is taking control of our weather and it is going to be hanging out for the week ahead.   So what does that mean for you? Well, more hot temps and potentially record heat on Monday and Tuesday!   Today, highs will be climbing into the 90s and the triple digits especially for central and southern New Mexico.   This will be the case for Monday and Tuesday with Tuesday being the hottest day of the week. So be sure to take frequent breaks, wear plenty of sunscreen and drink water when heading outside.

Of course, with New Mexico drying out and temperatures 10-15° above average, the fire danger will be on the rise.  So be sure to limit outdoor burning and heed any red flag warnings for your area. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
