Angels Hamilton Goes 2-5 In Rehab Start vs. Isotopes

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Five-time all-star outfielder Josh Hamilton started for Salt Lake in left field versus the Albuquerque Isotopes on Saturday night and it was apparent the power hitter may be close to returning for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

In Hamilton’s first at-bat, he scorched the first pitch he saw to left field. His second AB was a strike out before hitting a foul ball at least 360 feet just outside the right field foul pole. In his third AB, Hamilton turned on a Carlos Frias pitch for a stand-up double finishing the game 2-5.

The Isotopes would come from behind for a 7-5 win. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
