Officials draft distribution plan for Atari games

ALAMOGORDO (KRQE) – Where will the infamous Atari game cartridges found in a New Mexico landfill end up?

Alamogordo officials are working on a plan to distribute the games dug up last month.

The Alamogordo Daily News reports a draft plan was created by the company who paid for the excavation.

That plan includes giving some of the games to the company, others would go to museums and some would be sold to the public.

It’s unclear when the city will have a final plan.

More than 1300 cartridges were found.
