Movie filmed in NM hits theaters

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A movie filmed in New Mexico hit the big screen Friday and it’s already getting bad reviews.

A Million Ways to Die in the West, a comedy western set in the late-1800’s in Arizona stars Seth Macfarlane and Charlize Theron.

The Hollywood Reporter says Macfarlane gives most of his co-stars little to do besides attract our attention to movie posters.

The New York Times says the movie demolishes the heroic mystique of the old west.

But USA Today gave it three out of four stars because quote: “it entertainingly spoofs the era, offering a satirical take on movie westerns.”
