Website created for Anti-APD groups

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A group of activists critical of APD have launched a website to organize information on upcoming protests and keep track of officer behavior.

UNM professor David Correia says they wanted to have a central platform to discuss issues with APD.

The group launched apdprotest.org.

They’re planning a rally called the March to End Police Brutality on June 21 near UNM.

APD has been under increased scrutiny since the Justice Department released a scathing review of its use of force.

APD has been involved in 36 police shootings since 2010, 26 of them deadly.
