Public invited to ‘Honor Flight’ for veterans

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Your help is needed at the Sunport to honor 26 World War II veterans when they return from a trip of a lifetime.

Everyone is invited to help celebrate Honor Flight of Northern New Mexico’s inaugural flight next week.

Honor Flight raises money to fly veterans to Washington D.C. to see the memorials made in honor of them.

The public is asked to wear red, white and blue and greet the veterans when they return Friday, June 6.

You’re asked to be at the Sunport at 4 p.m.
