Lovington police chief placed on leave

LOVINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – The Lovington police chief has been placed on leave and officials aren’t saying why.

Danny Bryant has been placed on paid leave according to the city manager. All he will say is that it’s a personnel matter.

Lieutenant David Rodriguez has been named acting chief in the meantime.

Bryant replaced former Chief Chan Kim in 2012, after Kim was fired over a personnel issue.
