Roswell oil tank struck by lightning, destroyed

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – An oil tank is a charred mess Saturday.

According to the Plains Valley Online News the tank was struck by lightning east of Roswell early Saturday morning.

East Grand Plains and Berrendo Fire Departments rushed to the fire but just let the flames burn out because it wasn’t threatening anything else.
