Chris’ Saturday Forecast

A tornado warning has been issued for Lincoln and Chaves counties until 6:00 p.m. Saturday.

After Roswell broke a 24 hour rainfall record by picking up 4.39″ of rain in and golf ball sized hail in Carlsbad, more strong storms are possible across New Mexico this afternoon.   It could be another active day across the state with Northern and Eastern New Mexico being favored for the most activity.   Some dry air may limit storms in central New Mexico, but places like Albuquerque and Santa Fe still have a shot for rain this afternoon and also on Sunday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
