Fallen lawmen remembered at memorial

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There was pride and tears Friday as Albuquerque remembered its fallen lawmen at the Police Training Academy.

Hundreds turned out as the names of the officers were read and included both APD and Bernalillo county sheriff’s deputies who have died in the line of duty since 1886.

The event included APD honor guard and a 21-gun salute.

Just this past week a statewide law enforcement officer memorial ceremony was held in Santa Fe to remember those men and woman who died in the line of duty in other parts of the state.
