Taos business named in drug trafficking investigation

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – A plumbing business in Taos suspected of being a front for laundering drug money has ties to city hall.

DEA agents seized evidence from in and out plumbing and heating supplies last week as part of an investigation into alleged cocaine trafficking.

The Taos News found that the business has performed work for the town and the daughter of the owners was until earlier this month, the assistant town manager.

While that former employee is not named in the investigation her parents and sister were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and tax evasion
