ABQ ranks low for thriving small businesses

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There’s bad news for those looking for a job in the metro.

Albuquerque ranks close to the bottom in a new study.

The study by WalletHub ranked the 100 best and worst metropolitan cities to work at a small business and Albuquerque came in 86th place.

WalletHub looked into 10 different areas including small business job growth, industry variety, hours worked, and even average pay for new hires.

The website says the results are meant to be a guide to the overall attractiveness of cities for job seekers.
