Here’s a fishy story that’s getting all the buzz on KRQE.com, it’s a massive bust of 1,600 trout in Clovis. Investigators say they caught Bounchanh Bounsombath with the trout this weekend. The second time he’s been in trouble for this. He says he needs the trout to feed his family.
The big national news this morning, the wildfires in California are getting larger and they’re still out of control. This one’s in San Marcos, where at least one person has died and thousands are evacuated. Most of the fires are between Los Angeles and San Diego.
Back here in New Mexico there are still lots of questions about one of the APD commanders just promoted to Major. Tim Gonterman will oversee officers out on the streets but we found out back in 2006 a federal jury ruled he used excessive for for tasing an unarmed man to the point he was burned and lost part of his ear. Gonterman says tasers were different then and he’s learned from his mistakes.
