A quiet weekend weather wise is on the way across New Mexico. Mostly sunny skies will be the rule with temperatures in the high 80s in the Albuquerque metro area. Winds will get gusty each afternoon to about 30 mph but nothing like last weekend.
Fire danger will take center stage by Monday. Gusty winds and warm temperatures will dry out fine fuels across the state. Look for widespread red flag warnings for most of New Mexico.
A deep and powerful area of low pressure will drop down to the west of the state late next week. this storm will have a chance to deliver widespread rain by Thursday.
