Man faces child abuse charges for bootleg operation

RIO ARRIBA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – There is a lot of child abuse cases in New Mexico but not quite like one in Rio Arriba County.

Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s Office said 28-year-old Danny Trujillo was running a bootleg and drug operation with the help of his 7-year-old daughter.

Undercover deputies went to his home in Cordova, pretending to buy cheap beer.

They say the girl answered the door and took their orders.

Inside the home were three more young kids.

Trujillo is facing child abuse and drug charges.
