State employees to get time off for parent teacher conferences

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The governor wants to make sure parents are doing all they can to help their kids in the classroom.

That’s why she issued an executive order allowing state workers to take up to 8 hours of administrative leave to attend parent-teacher conferences.

The state personnel office is still writing guidelines for how the leave will be applied and administered.
