City Council to discuss budget changes

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque City Council will meet Thursday to talk about proposed changes to the budget, which includes less money for what the mayor wants.

City Council President Ken Sanchez says it’s insulting that the mayor is proposing just a 1 percent raise for some city workers, when he gave some of his administration 20 percent raises last year.

City councilors are talking about cutting the money the mayor needs to fulfill those big raises for another year.
Right now the council says nothing is off the table. They’ll meet at 5 p.m.
