Mark’s Wednesday Evening Weather Report

Our warming trend began today with temperatures jumping up into the mid-60s across the Albuquerque metro area. Throughout the next couple of days we will add 10° each day to keep the warm-up going. By the weekend we will be in the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies and largely light winds. Winds will begin to ramp up late in the weekend and into the beginning of next week.

The wind will be created by a large storm system sitting to our west throughout a good portion of next week. The winds will top out between 30 and 40 miles an hour over most of the state. We may even see a chance of showers from the storm is a rolls through late next week.

Here’s a look at the storm on the models Wednesday of next week. As you can tell it’s a big one the question is how strong will be by the time it finally comes through here.
