John’s Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

The weather returns to normal this week as temperatures start to warm back up. Afternoon highs will run about 10° warmer today than yesterday. However, we will still be about 10° below average despite the sunshine and light winds. We return to near average on Thursday, then above average temps will dominate Friday and the weekend as a westerly flow sets up.

A cold front will edge into the northeast Thursday into Friday. That will temporarily halt the warm up there and could lead to a couple of spot showers. A storm slowly moves toward the state next week. With the slow movement of the storm, winds will kick up late in the weekend and next week. This will lead to a period of fire weather concerns next week.
