Sandia woodcutting delayed due to dry conditions

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Sandia Ranger district is delaying the start of woodcutting season because of the dry conditions.

District rangers say it’s just too dangerous to allow chain saws in the area right now.

The district is going to wait for conditions to improve to set a start date for the season. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
