Mark’s Tuesday Evening Weather Report

With our unseasonably cold storm system now exiting the state our weather will take a significant turn. The storm brought temperatures well below average and up to a foot of snow across the northern mountains. We even saw snow showers here in the Albuquerque area although we didn’t see much accumulation.  The last impact of this system will be our early-morning temperatures on Wednesday. Many areas could set overnight record lows. We even have a frost warning here in the Albuquerque area.

Under mostly sunny skies on Wednesday temperatures will rise up into the 60s. And then the temps will just keep going up from there into the weekend. We will top out in the mid-80s by Saturday and Sunday.

We are not totally out of the storm track. There is another storm set to drop down into the Southwest around the middle of next week. We will continue to monitor the storm over the next few days. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
