Purse snatcher thwarted by Good Samaritan

Jacob Gragg

(ALBUQUERQUE) KRQE – A couple of good Samaritans jumped into action and helped catch a purse snatcher.

A woman was at the Giant gas station near Juan Tabo and Candelaria Sunday when she noticed a man run off with a purse.

The woman’s boyfriend chased Jacob Gragg, 29, into the nearby Albertsons where he ditched the purse, but kept running.

Gragg was finally caught at the Sandia Bowl where police found the victim’s wallet, driver’s license and a box cutter in his pocket.

Gragg told police he owes the Mexican Cartel $600 and was looking for anything to pay them back for “lost heroin.”

Jacob Gragg is charged with aggravated burglary.
