Mark’s weather report and extended forecast

(ALBUQUERQUE) KRQE – A storm dropping down from Colorado will move into NM overnight and spread more snow over the northern mountains where 5″-8″ of snow could fall over 8,000′.  Here in the metro gusty east winds and cold air will work in.  If we do squeeze out a few showers they may well mix with some snow.  However, significant accumulations are not expected.

Tuesday will market by cool air and continued showers in the north.  Winds will be gusty in the morning.  Gusts could hit 40 mph.  With highs in the 50′s this will seem quite cold for mid-May.  By Wednesday morning the showers will be gone but the cold air will be very much a factor.  We could even see a freeze in the valley.  Temps will then warm through the rest of the work week under sunny skies.
