Thieves take AC motors, copper from ABQ school

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Someone stole a dozen air conditioner motors and copper tubing from an elementary school in Albuquerque.

It happened overnight at Griegos Elementary in northwest Albuquerque.

It will cost the district up to $6,000.

KRQE News 13 was told classes were not affected and the swamp coolers had not been turned on yet.
