Taos names May 17th Dennis Hopper Day

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – The town of Taos will celebrate Dennis Hopper Day later this month.

The famous actor who died in 2010, lived in the Taos area for years and called it his heart home.

Hopper is buried in Ranchos De Taos.

Taos residents will celebrate on May 17, which would have been Hopper’s 78th birthday.

There will be an easy rider ride commemorating the 1969 film Easy Rider.
