Man accused of raping elderly woman convicted

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – A man has been convicted of raping and robbing an elderly Clovis woman nearly two years ago.

Richard Sena, 35, was recently released from prison and on parole when he broke into the victim’s home in November 2012 and sexually assaulted her at knifepoint.

Sena then stole a gun in her house as well her wallet and phone.

Police were able to track his shoe prints to a house five blocks away where he was hiding in the backyard.
