ABQ bank robbery suspect arrested

James Verdream

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An accused bank robber is behind bars because he wasn’t too good at covering his crime.

Police arrested 47-year-old James Verdream this week for allegedly robbing the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union on April 22nd.

He’s the guy pictured wearing a LA baseball cap.

Not only did he not hide his face during the robbery, investigators say the later found out Verdream took a taxi to the heist.

When shown a picture of Verdream the taxi driver positively identified him.

Police also learned that Verdream had opened a checking account at the bank a month earlier and the teller who helped him open the account is the teller he robbed
