Roswell house fire sparks arson investigation

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Police and firefighters in Roswell are investigating another arson fire, but not another car, this time at a house.

Wednesday morning crews responded to a house fire on the 400 block of south Sequoia Avenue.

A family did live in the home and were able to get out, but the home is a total loss.

Fire crews aren’t sure how it started, but are not ruling out arson.

There have been a dozen car arsons in Roswell over the last few months.

Authorities aren’t sure if the house fire and the car fires are connected. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
