ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The autopsy report for a 12-year-old boy who police say was killed by his 15-year-old friend has been released.

Alex Madrid’s body was found under a mattress in a Meadow Lake field in February. Brandon Villalobos was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.

The report says Madrid died of blunt trauma. The autopsy revealed skin tears, scrapes and bruises to the face and scalp. Madrid also had several broken bones to the skull and face.

There were also bruises and scrapes to Madrid’s chest, and injuries that appeared to have occurred after death.

In a criminal complaint, Villalobos admitted to police he hit Madrid once. His mom has since been arrested for not doing enough to help her son.

KRQE is going through the report and will have more details in later broadcasts.
