Austin Franklin talks NFL Draft

LAS CRUCES (KRQE) – He’s the only New Mexico college football player who got an invite to the NFL Combine.

New Mexico State receiver Austin Franklin entered the draft early, forgoing his senior season.

Jacksonville, the New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons are only three of a long list of teams that have expressed interest in the speedy Franklin.

He helped his stock by showing well at the combine and even better during Aggies Pro Day, attended by reps from 14 NFL teams.

Franklin says he will watch the draft.

He also seems pretty mellow about his life changing once he is selected. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
