APD cadets to graduate Thursday

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – About two dozen APD officers-in-training will graduate Thursday amid a major shortage in the department.

The shortages have been blamed on everything from low pay to low morale and APD has even recruited officers from out of state.

We last reported that APD was down about 150 officers and that doesn’t take into consideration the officers who aren’t patrolling the streets, but patrolling the Bosque and the Sunport.
