UNM students go months without hot water

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – No one likes to take cold showers but UNM students living in the dorms say they’ve had to for months.

Students living in the Pecos building, which is part of the Casa Del Rio dorms on campus, say there have been too many mornings where they haven’t been able to take a hot shower.

American Campus Communities owns and operates those dorms leasing the land from UNM.

One student says the property manager has only sent out an email every once in a while apologizing but nothing else has been done.

KRQE News 13 reached out to American Campus Properties, they told us they’re working as quickly as possible on a fix and that they will be installing new parts this week.
