NMSU extends Menzies contract 2 years

LAS CRUCES (KRQE) – New Mexico State Basketball Coach Marvin Menzies has signed a two year extension with the Aggies. His contract now runs through 2019.

Menzies led the Aggies to a third straight WAC title and NCAA Tournament berth this past season. He has 152 wins and 89 losses through seven seasons.

NMSU Athletic Director Mckinley Boston expressed excitement when talking about extending Menzies.

“I am pleased to offer Coach Menzies a two-year contract extension based upon the consistent competitiveness of his team, consistent academic success of his players and his strong fundraising efforts to help support the teams financials needed to compete at a high Division level,” said Boston.
