SFPD to auction DWI seizures daily

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Santa Fe police believe they have a solution to the record high DWI seizures they’ve been seeing.

Last year alone they had more than 600 vehicles on their lot taken mostly from drunk drivers.

They have had some auctions to relieve the load but it hasn’t cleared enough room in the lot they use.

So they’ll now put up a daily online auction.

They hope it’ll keep the lot clear as well as generate more money, more consistently.

Some vehicles are already up for auction.
