Men charged in El Paso kidnapping sentenced

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two men who kidnapped a man from a basketball game in El Paso nearly three years ago are going to federal prison for a long time.

Brandon Jones was sentenced Monday to 35 years in prison his accomplice, Jesus Manuel Gallegos will serve 30 years.

Jones and Gallegos kidnapped Javier Vasquez outside the UTEP game back in 2011 using an air pistol that looked like a gun.

They then forced Vasquez to clear his bank accounts then beat him and tied him up.
