John’s Tuesday Afternoon Forecast

We continue to monitor a storm that will keep the weather interesting through the week. The winds will continue to increase this afternoon. With the storm still sitting well to the west, we remain dry and warm. Red Flag Warnings have been posted for most of the state again today due to fire concerns. Winds will remain high tonight through Wednesday.

The storm starts to move into the Four Corners Wednesday afternoon. A few light showers will be possible across the northwest, Northern Mountains, and southern Colorado. Most of the shower activity will miss New Mexico to the north. Showers will linger into early Thursday as the storm departs.

Cooler air will filter into the state on the back end of the storm for Thursday. However, temps will only be about 5° below average and will quickly rebound Friday into the weekend. Right now the weekend looks to be warmer and drier, but the winds will stick around to some degree. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
