Police search for suspect in fatal hit-and-run

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run that killed an unidentified man around 10 p.m. Sunday in Santa Fe.

Police say the incident took place on St. Francis Drive between Sawmill and Zia Road.

The victim, who is believed to be a transient in his mid-30s, was not using a crosswalk. Police say he had a tribal-looking sun tattoo on his left middle finger and several more tattos on his left arm. He was wearing black pants, a black shirt, a black leather jacket, a black hat and brown shoes, according to police.
